NCAA

If your child is an athlete who might wish to continue his/her sport in college or perhaps pursue an athletic scholarship, please visit the NCAA Eligibility Center  This website has a great deal of information that is vitally important to student athletes.  Please don't wait until your child is a senior before you explore this area.  There are academic requirements that must be met in order for your child to be eligible.  To be successful, a student must accumulate appropriate credits each year of high school.

Not all courses in the high school can be taken for NCAA credit.  White Plains High School courses that have been approved are listed here:  https://web3.ncaa.org/hsportal/exec/hsAction?hsActionSubmit=searchHighSchool    Please compare this list to your child's transcript and the NCAA requirements to be sure that your child is programming courses that will allow him/her to be declared eligible by the Clearinghouse.
